Joyous Brass is a British style brass band that was organized in the spring of 2001 to provide a unique musical fellowship for Christian brass musicians. Each member is a volunteer and freely gives of his or her time and talent for the ministry of the band. Membership is comprised of musicians from several churches in the Sacramento area. Our Founder and Music Director is Mike Welling.
The mission of Joyous Brass is to be an emissary of Jesus Christ through the performance of spiritually inspired music. It is our prayer that those who listen to the band will understand and be blessed by the message of God’s love through His music.
Concert venues have included Pleasant Grove Community Church, Lincoln Hills Community Church, Sunrise Community Church, Salvation Army Church in Sacramento, Salvation Army Church in Concord, CA and Sacramento First Church of the Nazarene.
